The Duggar family of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting fame have found themselves in the midst of a major scandal after it was revealed that their eldest son, Josh Duggar, had molested several underage girls, some of which were his sisters, when he was 15 years old.

On Wednesday, June 3 some of the Duggar family sat down with Fox News journalist Megyn Kelly to speak out about the molestation scandal including Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald who admitted that they were in fact two of the victims of Josh’s although they are not happy about the way the media is dealing the situation.

“We are victims, they can’t do this to us,” 24-year old Jill stated of the attention this has drawn to her family. Jessa then spoke up, saying, “The system that was set up to protect kids, both those who make stupid mistakes or have problems like this in their life and the ones that are affected by those choices. It’s greatly failed.”

She then added that she knows what Josh did was “very wrong” but also thinks it has been blown out of porportion with Josh being dubbed a pedophoile or rapist. “I’m like, that is so overboard and a lie really. I mean, people get mad at me for saying that but I can say this because I was one of the victims.”

Meanwhile the Duggar parents, Jim Bob and Michelle stated that “as parents, we felt we’re failures, you know?” but claim they dealt with the issue as best as they could.

Jim Bob, Michelle, Jill and Jessa will all be speaking out in a one-hour special of The Kelly File on Friday, June 5 at 9 p.m. on Fox News.
