Jennifer Lawrence walked down the aisle — as a bridesmaid!
J-Law looked stunning in her older brother Blaine Lawrence’s wedding to Carson Massler. Alongside several other bridesmaids, the 23 year-old Oscar winner donned a creamy pastel yellow (almost gold?) floor-length strapless gown and wore her blonde hair in a swept up-do. The wedding actually took place last fall, but we’re just now hearing about it because the nuptials are featured in the new issue of Martha Stewart’s Real Weddings magazine.
Besides its celebrity maid, the wedding was notable for its unfortunate weather; it took place in Kentucky on the wettest day of the year. “It set a state record for the third-highest rainfall ever!” Massler told the magazine.
Luckily, “The clouds parted just in time for our vows,” she said. “Everything else was a series of little disasters, but not the part that was the most special to us.”
As it turns out, some of the best pictures of the wedding were taken in the rain. “That’s what we loved about it: it was real,” she gushed.
Blaine chimed in: “It rained all day, but that just made us realize what’s most important: the ceremony, when you actually become husband and wife.”
