As many of you already know, the movie version of hit book Fifty Shades of Grey is coming to life!
After a tumultuous casting process (Sons of Anarchy actor Charlie Hunnam was originally cast as Christian Grey but then dropped out), Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have begun filming the highly anticipated erotic drama.
Filming began Sunday, December 1 in Vancouver, where Jamie and Dakota were spotted in the midst of a coffee shop scene from the beginning of the book. Jamie wore Christian’s signature grey suit, while Dakota settled into her role as Anastasia Steele in a casual army green jacket, scarf and jeans. Dakota has also changed her usual long blond hair for the part, and started a new workout regimen so she’ll be in top shape for the film’s nude scenes.
Book author E.L. James Instagrammed a photo from the set along with the caption, “Action!”
The Fifty Shades of Grey adaptation also popped up in the news this week for some last-minute cast additions. It was announced that pop star Rita Ora will play Mia, the adopted younger sister of Christian Grey.
If you’re a fan of the book, you’ll have to wait a while to see it on the big screen: the Fifty Shades of Grey movie will be released wide on February 13, 2015.
