On Tuesday, Oct. 27, many entertainment outlets confirmed that one of Hollywood’s favorite couples, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, had split; however, it turns out the two had called it quits long before it was confirmed.
Sources told Us Weekly that the two did indeed breakup “a couple of months ago,” but there is no animosity between the two with the source adding, “They still have a lot of love for one another and they are on good terms with each other and remain close. It just wasn’t working.”
The two were also reported to have broken up earlier this year when they were busy shooting separate films very far away from each other, but not long after the “break,” the two were spotted holding hands once again, but not much was heard about the status of couple until this most recent news.
Although the pair have always been fairly secretive about their relationship, they haven’t exactly been hiding the fact they are broken up, at least Garfield hasn’t. The actor is currently in Australia filming a WW II drama Hacksaw Ridge and was recently spotted hanging out with co-star Vince Vaughn and the director Mel Gibson at the luxe Pelicano bar in Sydney’s Double Bay. Garfield was then seen leaving with a young, blonde woman causing someone to yell, “Where’s Emma Stone?” and he reportedly responded, “we’re not together anymore.”
