Who’s Elizabeth Banks’ favorite actress? You might be surprised by her answer.
Banks has stepped into the director’s chair for the much-anticipated sequel to Pitch Perfect — which means she got to direct herself.
When asked what it’s like to direct herself, Banks responded, “I’m very cool and casual about directing myself.” She joked: “It turns out I am my favorite actress.”
Unfortunately, Banks wouldn’t dish on details of Pitch Perfect 2, which finished filming over the summer and is now in post-production. “We’re not saying anything about anything,” she said with a laugh.
Pitch Perfect 2 hits theaters next spring and stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, Adam Devine, Skylar Astin and Hailee Steinfeld.
The movie might contain some surprise cameos, and rumors have swirled that there’s an a cappela version of an Iggy Azalea song in the movie, but Banks is keeping everything under wraps.
One thing we do know is that there’s a scene involving pajamas; Anna Kendrick posted a photo from the set to her Instagram account in which all the stars were dressed for bed. “I’m gunna miss you when you’re gone,” she wrote.
