Diddy gave the audience of the 2015 BET Awards one of the best surprises of the night when he epically reunited some huge Bad Boy label artists for an incredible performance. He kept right on performing, even after he took a pretty bad fall into a hole on stage.
The music industry mogul performed with his frequent collaborator Mase, as well as Faith Evans, Lil’ Kim, Pharrell Williams and more and he got so into his performance of hits like “It’s All About the Benjamins,” “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems,” and “Love Like This Before” that he wasn’t really watching where he was going and fell into a hole that was used for a previous performer.
He miraculously brushed the whole incident off, popping right back up and carrying on like nothing had happened; however, he later admitted in an Instagram post later he was pretty scared.
“I was getting so loose I fell! LOL, but really though I busted my ass! #finnagetloose #AppleMusic.. Puff Daddy & The Family feat @Pharrell… IF YOU EVER FALL DONW, get your ass up and FIGHT!!! But really though, I crack up every time I see this shit! It’s like I f–king disappeared. HAAA!!!! I was scared as f–k but I had to get up!” He wrote this alongside a video of the fall.
Later on, Diddy had the honor of presenting Smokey Robinson with the Lifetime Achievement Award, but struggled with reading the teleprompter before just starting all over with the presentation.
