The second oldest brother of the famous acting Baldwin brothers clan is engaged to be married!

Actor Daniel Baldwin, 54, proposed to his girlfriend Robin Sue Hertz Hempel, 48, on Saturday November 22 at the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival where Baldwin was promoting his newest film, The Wisdom to Know the Difference.

The romantic moment happened when Baldwin put the ring in a glass of cranberry juice (because he is sober) and when Robin found the ring she excitedly said, “Yes!”

“I couldn’t be more overjoyed Robin said yes. Next to the birth of my children, this is the happiest day of my life,” Baldwin told People magazine.

The couple have been dating for around a year and Baldwin even took the time to design the ring himself which “features nearly five carats with a marquise-cut diamond accented by a baguette.”

This will be the fourth marriage for Baldwin who has five children from his previous marriages and relationships.

He was married to his first wife Cheryl in 1984 and together they had his first daughter, Kahlea, 30.

He then married Elizabeth Baldwin in 1990 with whom he had another daughter, Alexandra, 20, before divorcing Elizabeth in 1996.

In the 1990’s Baldwin had an almost ten year relationship with actress Isabella Hoffmann who he co-starred with in Homicide: Life on the Street, together they had a son Atticus, 18.

He was most recently married to former model Joanne Smith with whom he had two more daughters, Avis, 6, and Finley, 5.

Baldwin’s sobrietiy comes after several years of drug and alcohol abuse including several arrests and a stint on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew before being able to remain sober.
