Elizabeth Taylor could have had an eighth marriage — to Colin Farrell!
In an interview with Ellen Degeneres, the 37 year-old Saving Mr. Banks star revealed that he crossed paths with Elizabeth in a hospital, and began a friendship of late night phone calls and sending flowers.
Colin was at the hospital for the birth of his second child, Henry, while Elizabeth was undergoing surgery.
“I said, ‘Will you tell her I said hello, she probably won’t know who I am,'” Colin recalled. “And they go, ‘No, she knows who you are,’ and I went, ‘Wow, cool. Well, tell her I said hello and I wish her the best,’ and they said, ‘Will do.'”
“That was the beginning of a year and a half or two years of what was a really cool…it was kind of like the last — it feels like in my head, not her, I’m projecting, but the last kind of romantic relationship I had,” Colin explained. Colin has two children, one with American model Kim Bordenave and the second with his Ondine co-star Alicja Bachleda-Curuś – but his relationship with Alicia ended in 2010. He has been linked to a number of of other women, from writer Emma Forest to actress Angelina Jolie.
Elizabeth Taylor passed away in March of 2011, at the age of 79.
