For over three years now, Tarek and Christina El Moussa have been two of HGTV’s most popular stars thanks to their hit series Flip or Flop. Not only are they co-stars and business partners, but Tarek and Christina are also husband and wife. Just recently, however, it was revealed the seemingly perfect pair split up back in May following an explosive fight.
Despite being separated for most of the year, no divorce plans have been set in motion, making many think the pair might work things out, but the most recent reports from TMZ state otherwise.
According to sources close to Christina, she has absolutely no interest in reconciling with Tarek and is completely ready to move on. In fact this shouldn’t be too surprising as the pair and parents to daughter Taylor, 6, and Brayden, 15 months, admitted that they have both already been dating other people and were simply not ready to take those new relationships public.
After the news broke of their split, the two finally opened about it, saying in a joint statement, “Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage. We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed. We chose to get counseling to sort out our relationship. Together, we have decided to separate while we reevaluate the future of our marriage.”
Reports also indicate that whole Tarek had short fling with their former nanny Alyssa Logan and Christina has since been dating contractor Gary Anderson since shortly after her split from Tarek in May and the pair are still going strong. As for the future of Flip or Flop, the pair confirmed they will continue to work together and the show will indeed go on at least until 2017 when their “contractual obligations” with HGTV are finished.
