Chris Hemsworth already has a very impressive resume after bursting onto the Hollywood scene only a few years ago playing a small role as James. T. Kirk’s father in the 2009 reboot of Star Trek.
Now, he is best known as portraying Marvel comic’s demi-God Thor in the hugely successful stand alone film, not to mention reprising the role in the even more wildly successful Avengers film and is of course People magazine’s reigning Sexiest Man Alive.
Next up for the red-hot Australian actor is a hosting gig on the iconic Saturday Night Live stage on March 7, marking his first time on the Studio 8H stage and will be joined by musical guests the Zac Brown Band.
NBC confirmed Hemsworth as a host on Tuesday Feb. 24 on their Twitter feed writing, “Very excited for Chris Hemsworth to host with musical guest @zacbrownband on March 7 — they’re both making their #SNL debut!”
The hosting appearance will come a few months before Hemsworth gears up for the highly anticipated release of Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1 in a busy year for the hunk.
Saturday Night Live returns on Saturday February 28 following a month long hiatus after celebrating their 40th anniversary recently with Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson hosting.
