Controversial singer Chris Brown has found himself in the middle of another serious investigation after a woman in Las Vegas claimed he punched her in the face and took her cell phone during an altercation at a hotel room party.
The Las Vegas police are now investigating the 26-year-old for possible misdemeanor battery and theft following the woman’s accusations. Brown has not been arrested or charged with the crime, however, his rep has said in a statement that the claims are “completely false.”
Brown has of course already been involved in a high-profile battery case following his 2009 attack on his then-girlfriend Rihanna and has been involved in a lot of other legal turmoil in the past six years as well. Las Vegas police have confirmed they responded to a report of battery that allegedly occurred in a hotel suite at the Palms Casino Resort where they encountered the woman who “appeared to have minor injuries sustained as a result of a battery” and indicated the altercation occurred after she tried to take a picture of Brown.
Although he is denying the incident, back in 2013 Brown was charged with misdemeanor assault after a fight broke out when two women tried to take his photo.
