After a decade, Chad Michael Murray is returning not only to The CW but is doing so in a popular teen series!

The charming actor, who will forever be known for his role as Lucas Scott to One Tree Hill fans, has reportedly been cast in Riverdale in a recurring role for season three.

Murray is playing none other than “The Farm” leader Edgar Evernever on the popular teen drama. An official description for the character reads:  “As the enigmatic leader of the cult-like Farm, Edgar arrives in Riverdale to spread his teachings and heal the ravaged soul of this once wholesome town. Edgar is a charming, handsome guru, but is he hiding a more sinister agenda?”

Evernever has been repeatedly mentioned on the series since Betty Cooper’s sister Polly talked about finding refuge on The Farm with her twins, and Alice Cooper has since become a member of the cult-like society run by Evernever.

Murray left One Tree Hill at the end of season six in 2009 before returning for the season nine episode “Last Known Surroundings.” He has since appeared in several series and films including Agent Carter, Sun Records, Left Behind and Star. He most recently appeared in the Hallmark Christmas movie Road to Christmas as Danny Wise.

Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
