When David Crane and Marta Kauffman created the show Friends, they probably had no idea the success that was going to come from the sitcom.
Airing on September 22, 1994, Friends lasted for ten seasons until May 6, 2004, never losing a original cast member and gaining a a huge following of loyal fans who will take any opportunity to quote some of the show’s best lines -there are many- and school anyone around them on trivia surrounding the show.
Although all of the six “Friends” have had careers after the show, many still know them as their characters, and many sitcoms since have tried to create the same dynamic that is rarely achieved between six different stars on one show.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry stumbled into something great with the ’90s show, something so great you wouldn’t believe what they were all being paid per episode by the last season.
Not to mention, everything could have been so different if even the smallest things had not turned out the way they did. Like what if it had not been called Friends at all, or what if Courteney Cox played Rachel instead of Monica Geller, it’s hard to even imagine, but it could have happened.
