We can’t believe how far she’s come – it’s truly remarkable. Knightley has developed an impeccable sense of fashion. World Premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl – 2003

Keira Knightley showed off her killer abs at the world premiere of “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.” She wore a white tummy top with a low rise pair of jeans and, while she has the body for this type of revealing outfit, we are happy these things are no longer in style! Signing onto the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise was a smart career move on her part. The film opened to positive reviews and high box office grosses, cementing Knightley as the new “It Girl.”

The “Bend It Like Beckham” star attended the 8th Annual Hollywood Film Festival’s Hollywood Awards in a plunge-neck, sequin dress and an edgy pixie cut. Knightley cut all of her shoulder length hair to play Domino Harvey in the self-titled biopic “Domino.” The movie was about a former socialite and model turned bounty hunter. The hairstyle was quite the change for the “It Girl,” but she loved it and described it as “very liberating.”

The action film, which is based on the life of bounty hunter Domino Harvey, was expected to be a breakout role for Knightley who was best known for her role in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise. Sadly the highly anticipated film flopped at the box office. It received mostly negative reviews, with critics suggesting that Knightley was nothing more than a pretty face. Ouch!

Some critics were puzzled that Knightley didn’t receive another Academy Award nomination given her deft performance.

The Duchess Gala Premiere – 2008

The Oscar-nominated actress wore this Alexander McQueen silk chiffon wrap front strapless dress to “The Duchess” gala premiere. The dress isn’t the most flattering cut on Knightley. It billows out in the wrong areas, giving the illusion that she has something to hide underneath – which couldn’t be further from the truth! While her dress wasn’t a hit, her performance in the film garnered largely positive reviews from critics.
