“The Shield” Actor Arrested For Murder Following Wife’s Shooting Death

(LOS ANGELES) — Michael Jace, who played a detective on the Emmy-winning FX crime drama The Shield, has been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death Monday of his wife of nine years, April Jace.

The LAPD reports Jace’s wife was found dead from gunshot wounds around 8:30 p.m. in a residence in the Hyde Park section of Los Angeles.

Jace, 48, played Officer Julien Lowe on The Shield.  He also had recurring roles on Southland and The Mentalist.  He also appeared in Forrest Gump and the TV movie Michael Jordan: An American Hero.
