Since the apparent death of Jon Snow on the season five finale of Game of Thrones, fans have been in an uproar with many grasping on to any hints that indicate that the role played by Kit Harington will be brought back to life next season.

After watching Jon bleed out in the snow at the end of the episode, Harington confirmed that his character was in fact dead telling Entertainment Weekly, “This is my understanding of it. I had a sit down with Dan and David, we did a Tony Soprano walk. And they said, ‘Look, you’re gone, it’s done.'”

Many were hoping that his character would be returning for another season because Harington, along with several of his co-stars, signed larger salary contracts through season seven; however, he has denied that. “As far as the salary thing goes, that angered me when that story came out. I don’t know where it came from, but it was inaccurate in many ways.”

Now, however Harington is sparking hope once again after he was spotted at Wimbledon on July 2, sporting his usual Jon Snow lush locks, something he said he would “cut it off quite soon. As soon as [he’s] allowed,” because his contract required him to not alter his look in any way.

As soon as the pictures were seen, social media blew up with many believing his Jon Snow hair means that he is definitely still under contract and Jon Snow will be back on Game of Thrones.
