Cathriona White, the 28-year-old on-again, off-again girlfriend of actor and comedian Jim Carrey, 53, has been found dead after seemingly committing suicide, outlets are reporting.
According to TMZ, authorities were called to White’s home in L.A. on Monday, Sept. 28 after two friends went to her home to check on her and found her body. The site also states that White left a suicide note, which was addressed to Carrey and, on September 24, she tweeted her last ominous post, writing, “Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest.”
Initial reports from the police indicate that White died from a drug overdoes as pills were found next to her body.
Carrey and White were first linked back in 2012 and dated for a few months before breaking up and then reportedly getting back together recently in May; however, it is being reported that in her suicide letter she cited that they split up again on September 24, the day she posted her final tragic tweet.
Both of Carrey’s last two Twitter posts feature photos taken by White.
