At 24-years old Jennifer Lawrence is one of Hollywood’s most sought after actresses appearing in blockbuster hits and giving Academy Award winning performances in films like Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle.

Most recently she is seeing success by reprising her role as heroine Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games franchise’s newest release, Mockingjay-Part 1.

Unsurprisingly the movie has rocketed to the top of the box office but was is surprising however is that Lawrence finds herself on the music charts for a song she sings in the flick, “The Hanging Tree” written by The Lumineers.

The star previously stated in an interview with David Letterman that she has a fear of singing in front of people after an incident when she was 8 where she sang in front of the whole school only for her dad to mock her for weeks afterwards cause it was so bad.

When she was told it was actually going to be her voice singing the song in the film Lawrence apparently burst into tears before filming the scene.

It seems however, facing her fears was all for the best as the song is at number eight on the UK’s midweek iTunes countdown, finding Lawrence’s singing voice in the company of Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift.
