“Do You Know Who I am?” 7 Celebs Who Play The Fame Card

Celebrities are able to get away with a lot because they are famous; however, few of them have managed to successfully use the “Do you know who I am?” card. Some stars just come to expect special treatment wherever they go while others invoke the phrase to get out of trouble. Either way, it makes these celebrities sound like entitled brats, which is never a good thing. Here are 7 instances where celebrities have pulled the “Do you know who I am card?”

7. Dina Lohan

?We certainly aren’t surprised that Dina Lohan has pulled the “Do you know who I am” card. She has been riding on her daughter Lindsay’s coattails since she was a child star. In 2009, the mother of four tried to use her daughter’s celeb status to get her, Lindsay and Ali into a Los Angeles hotspot, Villa. After they were turned away because Ali was underage, Dina asked, “Do you know who I am?” Lindsay followed with, “You’re making a huge mistake. Huge.” It turns out that it wasn’t as big a mistake as Lindsay had made it seem. At that point, her star had already fallen, so she had no clout.

6. Reese Witherspoon

A few years ago, no one would have ever expected Reese Witherspoon to pull the “Do you know who I am?” card but, in 2013, everyone saw a very different side to the Academy Award-winning actress. The normally down-to-earth star shocked everyone when she argued with a couple of police officers who were arresting her husband Jim Toth on suspicion of driving under the influence. The police officers were not impressed and they promptly arrested Witherspoon for disorderly conduct. As they were doing so, she yelled, “Do you know my name, sir? You’re about to find out who I am.” None of this ended up working in her favor and she issued a public apology the next day.

5. Amanda Bynes

Just over a year ago, during her downward spiral, Bynes made the mistake of pulling the “Do you know who I am” card with the New York City police. Someone from her apartment building had called them when one day the former child star was seen wandering around the building with a joint, muttering things to herself and acting erratically. When the police came to her apartment, Bynes had obviously been smoking weed and had her bong out. She quickly threw it out her window, which prompted police to arrest her. Making matters worse, Bynes kept shouting, “Do you know you know who I am?” It didn’t make any difference – they still booked her for reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and criminal possession of marijuana.

4. Rihanna

Rihanna is one star who has had success with the “Do you know who I am” phrase. She was partying at a London nightclub a couple of years ago when things got a bit out of control. The sassy singer had climbed onto a private table and fell, which sent bottles and champagne glasses flying. Some bouncers were about to throw Rihanna out when she yelled to her friends, “Do they know who I am?” Her friends ended up speaking to the men and they then realized who she was and allowed her to stay. The owner reportedly even offered Rihanna and her pals drinks! Now that is A-list treatment!

3. Shia LaBeouf

Even though he tries to convince us that he doesn’t like being famous, we know for a fact that Shia LaBeouf loves it. When he was arrested for causing a scene at a Broadway show, the former child star yelled at the arresting police officer, “F–k you. This is f–king bullshit. Do you know my life? Do you know who the f–k I am?” The officer didn’t seem to care that he was famous because he charged LaBeouf with one count of criminal trespass in the third degree, one count of trespass, two counts of disorderly conduct, and one count of harassment in the second degree.

2. Jennie Garth

Jennie Garth pulled the “Do you know who I am” card at a trendy Los Angeles hotspot, DBA. She tried to skip the line with her little entourage, but was told by the bouncers that they needed to wait in line like everyone else. The former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star didn’t like that. She attempted to use her fame so that she and her friends could get inside; however security insisted that they couldn’t make any exceptions. Garth didn’t take it so well. She burst into tears and then left. All in all, the whole situation was quite embarrassing for the television star.

1. Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner reportedly threw an epic temper tantrum when she and her teenaged friends were refused alcohol at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She tried the “Do you know who I am” card to get bottle service, but it didn’t work. Jenner didn’t take this too well. According to a source, her behavior quickly spiraled out of control, as she told the host that the establishment was “f–king lame” and “not worth her time.” Sounds like typical behavior of someone from the Kardashian-Jenner klan!
