8 Celebrities Who Are Serial Monogamists

There are some celebrities in Hollywood who just have to be in a relationship. They hate being single, so they will do anything to avoid it. While this works out for many of them, there are some that end up in unhealthy relationships as a result. There’s nothing that anyone can really say though cause these celebrities have been blinded by their need for a relationship, so they are going to have to figure this out the hard way. We have rounded up 8 celebrities who are serial monogamists. Many of them don’t identify themselves that way, but it is pretty obvious to us that they are. Some of them you will probably surprise you!

8. Sofia Vergara

Over the last few years, Sofia Vergara has proven herself to be a serial monogamist. She dated a Florida Businessman named Nick Loeb for a few years. While they seemed committed, they broke up more than once. Even though they were engaged for a good part of the relationship, they just couldn’t make it work. According to the “Modern Family” star, it was because of work. “We have [been] having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together and [because] of my work and now his, it’s been getting worse and worse, not fun anymore,” she wrote on her WhoSay account.

A few months after her breakup with Loeb, Vergara was dating Joe Manganiello. Six months later, these two announced that they were engaged. Let’s hope that these two can actually make it down the aisle. Something tells us that if it doesn’t work out, it won’t take long for the voluptuous TV star to move on yet again.

7. Nikki Reed

Nikki Reed is a relationship girl. She doesn’t seem to like being single for very long, so she hops from one relationship to the next. When the “Twilight” movies were first coming out, she was dating Robert Pattinson. He ended up leaving her for Kristen Stewart. She then moved on to Paul McDonald, a contestant on “American Idol.” They were engaged after dating for only three months and were married seven months after they met. The marriage lasted only two and a half years and, once they announced that they were divorcing, she moved on to Ian Somerhalder. After only six months of dating, these two announced their engagement. They’ll probably make it down the aisle before the year is over.

Somerhalder is just like Reed – he’s a serial monogamist too. “There is no dating. I am solo as solo can get. I can’t imagine dating in Hollywood. I’m a serial monogamist, man,” he said, shortly before he started dating the “Twilight” actress. “Dating in Hollywood’s gotta be gnarly.”

6. Alexa Chung

Alexa Chung has admitted to being a serial monogamist. In an interview with Flare magazine back in 2013, she said that she prefers relationships to sleeping around. “I can’t just casually sleep with boys. It’s just not for me. Call me old-fashioned,” she said. “I don’t sleep with people I don’t find interesting, or whose brain isn’t the main turn-on for me. It’s not like I get all, ‘Oh, he’s fit.’ It’s often there’s a deeper connection, so it just means it last a big longer.”

Does this mean that she finds Chris Martin and Jared Leto interesting? She has been linked to both of these men in the last couple of years. In 2013, rumors were floating around that Chung was dating Jared Leto, Hollywood’s most notorious bachelor. When Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow called it quits last year, she was rumored to be his hot new piece. Something tells us that neither of these guys are relationship material though.

5. Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe is a self-proclaimed serial monogamist. According to him, he can’t date more than one woman at once. “I’m a serial monogamist. I’m not one of those people that can date loads of people at the same time, it’s all too complicated,” he told Esquire magazine. This doesn’t stop female fans from throwing themselves at him. “I recently had this woman who wrote to me a couple of times, offering sex. She didn’t say it explicitly, but she said, ‘This is my hotel room number, I will be sitting in row C, seat 26 and wearing a red scarf,’” he said.

While the “Harry Potter” star may have a lot of female fans, he tends to date celebrities. He was dating a production assistant, Rosie Coker, from 2010 to 2012 and when that relationship ended he hooked his co-star from “Kill Your Darlings,” Erin Darke, who he is still dating.

4. Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian doesn’t really date – she has relationships instead. She got married when she was only 19 and after breaking things off with her husband she has been in a string of relationships. Some of the more famous ones were with Ray J, Nick Cannon, Reggie Bush, Miles Austin, Kris Humphries (who she married) and Kanye West. She has no idea how to be single. Her automatic reaction is to jump into a serious relationship that could lead to marriage.

When things went south with Kris Humphries, it took the famous reality TV star about five minutes to hook up with West. Before they were even divorced, she was pregnant with the rapper’s child and engaged to marry him. We personally don’t understand how she makes any relationship work. She’s pretty devoted to her career, which is what ended her relationship with Bush in the first place. Well, that and her love of the paparazzi.

3. George Clooney

George Clooney spent many years spurning marriage; however, that didn’t stop him from becoming one of Hollywood’s most notorious serial monogamists. For over several years, he plucked women out of obscurity, turned them into his arm candy for that year’s award season and then threw them away afterwards without a second glance. He was always quick to move on. He didn’t seem capable of committing, but he didn’t want to be alone either.

Last year, the eternal bachelor finally gave up his bad boy ways, or so we believe. He married a human rights lawyer, Amal Alamuddin, and overnight he has become the world’s most devoted husband. Something tells us that if these two were to end for whatever reason that Clooney would be back to dating reality TV stars in a split second. He always seemed to enjoy the lack of commitment. He usually only wants a woman around for awards seasons.

2. Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez has been a serial monogamist since she first became famous back in the ‘90s. Until recently, she has always been in a relationship. When her first marriage failed, she began dating P. Diddy. That relationship wasn’t good for her image, so she ran off and married her backup dancer, Cris Judd. When that went south, she jumped into Ben Affleck’s arms. That relationship went up on flames, so she sought solace with Marc Anthony. When they split up, she hooked up with another one of her backup dancers, Casper Smart. Since breaking up with him, she has been single.

According to Lopez’s manager, she has trouble finding meaningful relationships because she jumps into relationships quickly with people are obsessed with her. “The thing that I always sort of wished is that she would give herself time to just naturally meet someone, instead of having obsessive guys pursue her,” he said. That sounds about right!

1. Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake has never been single for longer than a minute since his breakup with Britney Spears. He has proven himself quite the serial monogamist. After breaking up with the pop star, he moved on to Cameron Diaz. They dated for about three years. When they broke up, he hooked up with Jessica Biel, who he ended up marrying just a few years later.

The “Cry Me a River” singer has never really experienced the single life as an adult. Whenever he gets out of one relationship, he doesn’t waste a lot of time dating. When he first started dating Biel, he was also linked to Scarlett Johansson, but he ended up choosing the former “7th Heaven” star. These two went on a break for a few months in 2011 and then he was linked to Olivia Munn, Mila Kunis and Olivia Wilde. Timberlake is the ultimate relationship man though. He’d rather have a girlfriend than be single.
