Daytime drama’s real-life power couple have officially tied the knot. The Young and the Restless’s (Y&R) Courtney Hope and General Hospital (GH) star Chad Duell got married on Saturday, October 23rd in Malibu.
In an eye-popping and gothic affair, Hope, 32, and Duell, 34, painted the town red with matching crimson ensembles. The “Till Death” themed wedding had everyone in attendance (besides the bride and groom, of course) dressed in black.
“Thanks to everyone for joining us in celebrating our love,” Hope shared on Instagram with a black heart emoticon. “The perfect gothic night, surrounded by those we cherish most!”

Notable wedding guests included Tracey Bregman (Lauren, Y&R) and Hunter King (Summer, Y&R), as well as friends from Hope’s The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) days, Katrina Bowden (Flo, B&B) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke, B&B).
The couple had been together for five years when Duell proposed to Hope during a beachside picnic in February of this year.
“He’s so romantic, so when he planned a picnic I wasn’t too thrown off,” Hope explained to People after their engagement announcement.
“He read me the most beautiful poem, because I love poetry, and I started choking up,” Hope continued. “He then told me to close my eyes and turn the other way ‘cause he had to ‘set something up’. Then he comically fumbled behind me to distract me from what he was really doing — and when I turned around, he was on his knee!”
“I was very excited,” Duell chimed in. “I had a strong feeling she’d say yes, but I was naturally a little nervous. I also just really hoped she liked the ring.”
