The Young and the Restless (Y&R) star Allison Lanier has weighed in on baby rumors which have surfaced on social media.
The rumors began on Tuesday, November 29th, when new Christmas-themed promotional photos of Lanier’s character, Summer Newman, were shared on Twitter. In both photos, she is standing in front of a Christmas tree – with Kyle (Michael Mealor) in one shot, and with Kyle and Harrison (Kellen Enriquez) in the other.
Soap fans began to question whether the angle of the photos and the cut of the dress were hinting that Summer – or perhaps Lanier herself – is expecting. However, Lanier immediately dashed those thoughts with a hilarious reply.

“Guys, it’s called a BURRITO baby,” Lanier tweeted out in reference to the contentious photos. “This pic was taken directly after lunch.”
Well, there you have it! Perhaps Y&R fans are merely looking for baby bumps on account of Lanier’s comments about a “Skyle” baby back in August.
“I definitely think that Summer and Kyle will probably want to have a baby of their own,” Lanier told Soap Central, “but they’re also so busy right now with Marchetti and their mothers and Harrison.”
While there’s no baby news at the moment, it’s good to see that Lanier, who was recast in the role after Hunter King departed the canvas, is taking her new fandom in stride.
