In the fall of 2016, fans of the NBC sitcom Will & Grace were ecstatic when they thought the show was being brought back.
While it turned out to be a 10 minute special encouraging people to vote in the Presidential Election, it seems the excitement was enough for a revival to be seriously considered and now 10 episodes of the Emmy-winning series have reportedly been ordered.
Frequent Will & Grace guest star Leslie Jordan, who portrayed Beverly Leslie over several episodes, was the one who let the secret out during a radio interview. “It’s back,” he stated. “Here’s the way it works: [NBC] has ordered 10 episodes. It’ll be for next season, so [the cast will] go in July. And then they’ll add guest cast. I’ll get that phone call.” Jordan continued to confirm the news in the interview, when the host said “perhaps” the show was coming back Jordan reaffirmed, “not perhaps… absolutely.”
In December, longtime star Megan Mullally, known her role as Karen Walker, was also very confident about a revival happening, stating, “It’s not happening right this second. I mean, we’re not rehearsing or anything like that. But there is a very good chance that something is going to materialize.” Along with Mullally, Debra Messing, Eric McCormack and Sean Hayes are all expected to reprise their roles.
