Travis Barker has broken his silence on his recent health scare that had him rushed to the hospital.
The Blink-182 drummer took to Instagram on Saturday and shared that the pain he was feeling was due to “severe life threatening pancreatitis.”
“I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great,” Barker wrote on his Instagram Story. “But After dinner, I developed excruciating pain and I have been hospitalized ever since.”
“During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in the very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis.”
Luckily, it seems that Barker is on the road to recovery and his condition has improved. Barker shared that he’s “very very grateful that with intensive treatment” he is feeling much better.
Kourtney Kardashian also took to her Instagram Story and opened up about the health scare. “Oh what a scary and emotional week it has been,” she began. “Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change. Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis.”
Kourtney also thanked the doctors and nurses at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for “taking wonderful care of my husband and me during our stay.”
