‘This Is Us’ Casts ‘Brothers And Sisters’ Alum Dave Annable In Guest Role

This Is Us has cast Brothers and Sisters alum Dave Annable for a guest role!

In an upcoming episode of the beloved NBC family drama, Annable will show up as Kirby, who serves as an acting teacher for Kevin (who is played by Justin Hartley in present-day and Logan Shroyer in the character’s teenage years). Currently, it is unknown which era Annable’s character will appear or any other details about his potential backstory.

The actor has previously worked with Hartley’s co-star Mandy Moore on the brief Fox medical drama Red Band Society. Annable was cast as a regular on the short-lived shows 666 Park Avenue and Heartbeat, and later guest starring on shows The Mick and Yellowstone.

So far, the This Is Us guest roster has included Sylvester Stallone, Ron Howard, M. Night Shyamalan, Omar Epps, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Tim Matheson, Sophia Bush, and Timothy Omundson.

Earlier in January, a promo that aired during the 2020 Golden Globes that singer John Legend would guest star on This Is Us as well. Despite the commercial preview not revealing any details about the singer’s role on the show, the ad did feature a quick shot of him playing the piano in a tailored suit at the time.

Later that same month, show creator Dan Fogelman announced One Tree Hill alum Sophia Bush and Pamela Adlon were guest starring on This Is Us. At the time, Fogelman was keeping quiet about the details of Bush’s role on the show, but he did share some details about Adlon’s character – he teased that her character will factor into an upcoming storyline for Randall (played by Sterling K. Brown).

This Is Us season 4 is close to wrapping up, it airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
