Teresa reached an important milestone — her 15th anniversary with husband Joe Giudice — but her legal troubles made it difficult to celebrate.
Still, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star posted a photo of Joe and her to her Instagram account along with the caption, “Celebrated our 15 yr Anniversary 10/23/99 With the Love of my Life.”
Teresa has stuck by her husband ever since their wedding, even after they were both arrested and convicted on charges of mail fraud and mortgage fraud.
“I’m focusing on my family,” Teresa said recently in an interview with E!. “The girls, Joe…it’s all about family.”
Starting on January 5, Teresa will serve her 15-month prison sentence at a facility in Danbury, Connecticut — the same prison featured in Netflix series Orange is the New Black.
Once Teresa’s sentence is finished, Joe will head to prison for a 41-month term. The staggered schedule was created to accomodate caring for the couple’s four children, Gia, Milania, Gabriella and Audriana.
Teresa told Bravo’s Andy Cohen that her eldest daughter, Gia (13) is the only one of her daughters who knows that she and Joe are going to be serving prison sentences. “I don’t know what I’m gonna say yet,” Teresa admitted.
