Rihanna’s MTV Movie Awards Performance Turns Heads!

Did you check out the MTV Movie Awards last night? Did you even realize M’TV is still a functional network? Yeah… they’re still around–the stepchildren of Viacom. The network is offered a budget for a two things every year: The VMAs and The MTV Movie Awards. And the 2014 Movie Awards didn’t disappoint fans. Well, not fans of Eminem, Rihanna, or any of the folks who pumped out jams for Divergent.

It’s not hard to imagine that Rihanna was one of the most talked-about performers following the awards show. She threw down with Eminem on their hit duet, The Monster, and probably sold a lot of tickets to their dual headlining tour in the process. If you were watching and saying to yourself, “I couldn’t really hear anything but a bunch of screaming teenagers during the performance…” That’s true, too. But… how about that t-shirt/dress Rihanna was wearing? There are so many ways to sell tickets.

Aside from Rihanna and Eminem, there were several other stellar performances that served as the highlights of the show. Ellie Goulding and Zedd also wowed with their live performance of Beating Heart from Divergent. And speaking of Divergent, Shailene Woodley captured the award for “Favorite Character,” while The Hunger Game‘s Jennifer Lawrence took the award for “Best Female Performance.” It looks like the world is ready for strong female leads.

If you missed the show, not to worry, MTV will be playing it incessantly over the next couple of weeks. And if you’re that anxious to see what you missed, you can check out the entire show On Demand.
