Former NBA player and ex-husband to reality star Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom, has been rushed to a Las Vegas hospital after being found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada on Tuesday, Oct. 12, authorities have confirmed.
According to police, an emergency call came from Dennis Hof’s Bunny Ranch around 3:15 p.m. and when crews arrived they immediately transported Odom, 35, to Desert View Hospital. “After being treated by the physicians, arrangements were made to transport him by Mercy Air helicopter. However, Mr. Odom was unable to be transported by air due to his stature. He was immediately transported by Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Ambulance to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada for further treatment,” Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehrly said in a statement regarding Odom’s condition at the time of the call.
He had been staying at the famous Love Ranch since Saturday Oct. 10 owner Dennis Hof confirmed while also stating he seemed to be in a great mood but added, “He got calls on Sunday that kind of bummed him out. Besides that, he was in a great state of mind.”
Meanwhile no illicit drugs were found in the room although Odom had been taking herbal Viagra during his stay at the Love Ranch. TMZ has reported that he is only breathing with the assistance of a machine and some of his organs are failing causing him to be listed in critical condition, however Odom’s publicist while not confirming his client’s status did state, “Family and friends are extremely concerned for Lamar. Please don’t listen to the false information being circulated unofficially. Please respect the family’s privacy at this time.”
Khloe Kardashian along with some of her family immediately flew to the hospital upon hearing the news in order to be by his side as the pair have remained close after marrying in 2009 and filing divorce papers in 2013 which were finalized this past July.
