Jennifer Lopez, 45, has already had an incredible career as a singer, actor, American Idol judge and the list goes on and on, and with no signs of slowing down, she’s been taking on some negative criticism for her always sexy looks.

Looking as stunning (and young) as ever J.Lo discussed the “booty” haters as she graced the cover of Complex magazine for their March issue.

“I’m not allowed to be sexy because I’m a mom? It’s like, How do you think I got my children?,” she joked. “The truth is I don’t want to do anything that they would be embarrassed of in the long run. But at the end of the day, they care more about me being there, taking care of them, than if I’m sexy in a video,” she explained.

The response was of course to a question about critics of her “Booty” song and music video with 24-year old rapper Iggy Azalea as the video is just continuous shots of both women baring their famous behinds in leotards.

“It’s a good message for women. I’m standing next to this girl who is 24 year old and I’m in my 40s and there’s no difference. Women need to see that and feel that. You can’t let the fear of what people might say or think stop you from doing what you want to do or else we would never do anything.”

The mom of two is currently busy promoting her newest film The Boy Next Door in which Lopez stars as the middle aged mother who falls for the teenage boy next door only to have the relationship turn dangerous when he becomes obsessed.
