Hollywood has known just a few female power teams and fans couldn’t be happier about the news of the newest two female superstars to team up for a project.

None other than 25-year-old Hollywood powerhouse Jennifer Lawrence and beloved comedienne Amy Schumer, 34, are coming together to work on a movie that is already facing some high expectations thanks to the women in charge.

The big announcement of the screenplay broke on Wednesday, August 25 after Lawrence casually let the news slip while doing an interview for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 while also confirming they also plan on co-starring in the film together. “We play sisters. We’re almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We’ve got about 100 pages right now.”

While Schumer is a well known comedienne, her foray into acting with the summer blockbuster Trainwreck, which she also wrote, solidified her as one of the most dominant female talents in Hollywood, prompting Lawrence to want to join forces. “I emailed her after I saw Trainwreck and said, ‘I don’t know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I’m in love with you.’ We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting.”

Of course fans were ecstatic to learn of this friendship when Schumer posted Instagram photos of herself on vacation with a bunch of friends… which included Lawrence. “Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of life. We start the day off on the phone laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up.”

Sounds like a match made in Hollywood heaven and we can only imagine how amazing and hilarious this film will be.
