Country singer and former One Tree Hill star, Jana Kramer, had an amazing 31st birthday full of celebrations and had it all topped off with a diamond ring.
Kramer’s boyfriend, NFL free agent Michael Caussin, 27, got down on one knee in front of her family and friends in Nashville, Tennessee after they all spent the day celebrating her birthday on Tuesday December 2.
The newly engaged Kramer opened up about the special moment in a statement on Wednesday, “It was a beautiful surprise. He was the perfect gentleman. Nervous, on one knee, and surrounded by some of the people that love us the most.”
Later that night she also tweeted about the big day writing, “Had the best birthday I’ve ever had. Thanks for all the LOVE!!!!”
While it may be too early to be deciding on a wedding date, the engagement comes only four months after dating and will be the third marriage for Kramer and is on the heels of her broken-off engagement from fellow country star Brantley Gilbert.
Kramer was first married to actor Michael Gambino in 2004 before divorcing only a few months later. She was then married to actor, Johnathon Schaech from 2010-2011.
Kramer and Gilbert dated for a few months in 2012 before becoming engaged in 2013 much to the delight of country fans, however the two called off their engagement and ended the relationship in August 2013 citing two separate and very busy schedules that kept them apart.
With no set wedding date, for right now Caussin is hoping an NFL team will pick him up, while Kramer is recording her newest album.
