Demi Lovato was shocked when she had to face the painful reality that her fiance Max Ehrich’s intentions were not completely genuine.
Multiple sources shared that Lovato and Ehrich were having issues in the past few weeks. One insider shared, “It was very hurtful to Demi when she realized that Max’s intentions weren’t genuine. The source adds, ″Breaking off the engagement was not an easy decision.”
″Demi and Max were basically together 24/7 for months,″ one insider shared about the early stages of their relationship. ″They lived in a bubble with zero stress and everything was just fun,″ the source continued.
Their relationship changed, however, when Ehrich headed from L.A. to Atlanta to film a movie. ″Max shot up in fame, and it’s been hard,″ the insider shared. ″He got wrapped up in [Hollywood].″
Another turning point in their engagement was when Ehrich’s tweets professing his love for Lovato’s former best friend Selena Gomez resurfaced on Twitter. Following the incident, Lovato publicly supported him and even slammed the posts as ″fake.”
According to the insider, soon after this incident, however, the singer began to believe that Ehrich was really just ″trying to further his career by using her name behind her back.”
Lovato ultimately decided to break off the engagement with the support of her loved ones. The insider shared, ″It was hard for Demi to admit she made a mistake when it came to Max.”
