Dancing With the Stars alumna Karina Smirnoff took to her Instagram on Wednesday, April 8 to share some happiness with the first photo of her newborn son and even revealed his name.

“Welcome to the world Theo Gabriel!” the 42-year-old announced alongside a sweet photo showing the baby’s tiny feet.
The big reveal comes a week after it was first announced that the dancer had welcomed her first child. “Karina and baby are healthy and well,” a source close to Smirnoff told PEOPLE at the time. “She’s already head over heels in love. She’s excited for the next journey.”
She first revealed the news that she was expecting back in mid-December 2019 writing in a post, “Thanks @FirstResponsePregnancy for confirming that I will have a little one to train on the dance floor! #BabySmirnoff coming in 2020! And since it’s the holiday season, it’s the perfect time to give back! I’m happily going to donate $5K to @ResolveOrg to support all couples and families on their pregnancy journeys. Everyone have a great holiday!”
“I’m super excited to start a new chapter in my life,” she told PEOPLE at the time of her pregnancy announcement. “I’ve always wanted to be a mom. I have so many emotions that I’m going through. I’m nervous, excited, over the moon happy and overwhelmed.”
Smirnoff added, “Everyone has been so great, gracious and has given me so much information. I’m just trying to keep up! But I’m very grateful for the gift I’ve been given. I can’t wait to be a mom.”
Smirnoff, has preferred not to disclose who the baby’s father’s identity is at the time, but has expressed her desire to have a family in recent years.
