Courtney Hope has previewed what The Young and the Restless (Y&R) viewers can expect from the love triangle between Nick (Joshua Morrow), Adam (Mark Grossman) and her character, Sally.
“She really does want to start fresh and she does like Nick, but she can’t help but feel frustrated,” Hope revealed in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest.
In an upcoming episode, Adam approaches Sally at Society while the redhead is trying to cope with losing her job and stabilizing her personal life. “She really is trying to move on and then Adam asks her to marry him,” Hope explained. “For Sally, it’s like pouring salt in a wound that’s trying to heal.”

According to Hope, Sally tries “to maintain a poker face” with Newman but realizes that their connection is too deep for small talk.
“She’s furious with him for all the ridiculously romantic things he’s said to her,” the actress shared. “She just unleashes her frustration, but she also says she can’t deny how he makes her feel.”
In response, Adam gives Sally a sly smile. “She’s really irritated about it because she’s like, ‘I knew that you knew, but I didn’t want to admit it’.”
When Adam insists that they find a more private place to talk, they wind up back in Sally’s hotel suite – and that’s where things really heat up.
“She wants to lay everything out in the open and it’s such a roulette wheel of emotions,” Hope said, “but she feels she needs to vent so she can move on from Adam.”
However, once Sally starts to come clean about her feelings, she finds it difficult to stop. In effect, she reveals that she still wants Adam, and they share a passionate kiss.
Morrow anticipated this reunion in his own preview, which he promised would only get messier and more painful as the weeks progress. Hope seems to agree.
“This is only going to lead to more questions than answers for Sally,” she hints.
