Chris Evans is dating actress Alba Baptista!
A source shared with PEOPLE that Evans has been dating the Portuguese actress “for over a year and it’s serious.” The source added, “They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her.”
Baptista recently starred in this year’s Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. Last year, she won the Shooting Star award at the Berlin Film Festival. She also speaks an impressive five languages and is the daughter of an engineer and translator. Baptista worked at an orphanage in Cambodia in 2018 to focus on education.
Evans has had quite a busy week in the spotlight. Earlier in the week, he was named PEOPLE’s 2022 Sexiest Man Alive. In the cover story, he opened up about feeling very content” with life right now and how he finally has found a work-life balance with downtime to share with loved ones.
Evans also opened up about his desire to start a family. “That’s absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family,” Evans shared. “When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared.”
“So it’s also something through my long 41 years that also rings true. Those things are the most important,” he said. “I love the idea of tradition and ceremony. I had a lot of that in my life, so the idea of creating that — I can’t think of anything better.”
