Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel has often been criticized for appearing almost sickly when it comes to how thin she is, and on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, she admitted it can sometimes look unhealthy.
When asked by host Andy Cohen if she think she’s “too thin” she responded, “No, but I don’t really think about it. I mean, maybe. Do I think I can be sometimes? Yes.”
She went on to explain that at certain times, especially when she is stressed out, she doesn’t pay attention to her health as much, “When I’m very tired and stressed out, people think I’m more thin, and it’s always the times I feel like I’m really stressed out. I get black circles and my face looks drawn… Maybe. I run around like a total maniac.”
Frankel previously came under some harsh backlash after she posted a photo of herself squeezing into her 4-year old daughter, Bryn Hoppy’s, pajamas, with many claiming it was “inappropriate” and “sending the wrong message” to women and girls about body ideals.
Frankel, who also runs a brand called Skinnygirl, doesn’t see her weight or the picture as an issue. “I just never got bothered by it. There will be bad press, things that you’ll just be like, ‘Do I need this right now?’ I of course didn’t need it, but it kept getting bigger! I couldn’t even believe it. I really…I didn’t think it was that big of a deal.”
