The royal family has very specific Christmas traditions and one of them involves spending the holidays at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. Throughout the years, various members have been photographed around Christmas, celebrating the holidays. 12. Christmas Day Church Service – 1999

Here Prince Harry is at Christmas Day church service on the Sandringham Estate. He is collecting flowers and gifts from the crowd of well wishers that waits outside for the royal family. Who knew that Prince Harry ever had braces – but he clearly has them in this photo!

11. St. George’s Chapel – 1986

Here Princess Diana and Prince William are holding hands after attending Christmas Day mass at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. Diana always knew how to make a fashion statement! With this outfit, she almost looks like the pope!

10. Christmas Broadcast – 1953

Queen Elizabeth’s Christmas broadcast to the people of the British Commonwealth was recorded in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1953. At the time, she and Prince Philip were at the start of a six-month tour of the Commonwealth on the royal yacht Britannia.

In 2015, Kate Middleton attended a Christmas party for the mental health charity, the Anna Freud Centre. While there, she participated in a drum circle, a form of music therapy. In this picture, it looks like she is having a really good time!

Prince William and Prince Harry met Santa Claus and each received a gift following a visit to the Horse of the Year show in 1990. They attended with their mother, Princess Diana, but she can’t be seen in this picture.
