Born in Novo Mesto, Slovenia (part of former Yugoslavia), her father managed car and motorcycle dealerships for a state-owned vehicle manufacturer was a patternmaker at the childrens’ clothing manufacturer, Jutranjka. Her family was relatively well off when she was growing up. They would vacation in France, Italy, Germany and Austria and her father owned an antique Mercedes.
She studied design at the High School of Design in Ljubljana and architecture and design at Slovenia’s University of Ljubljana, but dropped out after her first year and started modeling.
The brunette bombshell began modeling when she was 16 and at the age of 18 she signed with a modeling agency in Milan, Italy. She did very well in Europe, but not supermodel well.

The brunette beauty met her husband Donald Trump back in 1998 at a party during fashion week. He was 52 and she was 28. It tells you a lot from the man what kind of number he gives you. He gave me all of his numbers.” She waited a week before calling him.
Melania has a skin care line and has done timepiece and jewelry collections for QVC and has done a handful of guest appearances on The View.
3. Aging Gracefully
The former model denies having had any plastic surgery or Botox. “A lot of people say I am using all the procedures for my face. I didn’t do anything. I live a healthy life, I take care of my skin and my body,” she told GQ, “I’m against Botox, I’m against injections; I think it’s damaging your face, damaging your nerves. It’s all me. I will age gracefully, as my mom does.”
She is active in several charities, including the American Red Cross, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Boys’ Club of New York.
