Peter Weber Opens Up About “Getting It Right” With Kelley Flanagan After Confirming Relationship

Peter Weber’s search for love as The Bachelor definitely did not go as planned, but he ended up with one of his contestants anyway!

After months of rumors and even social-distancing together in Kelley Flanagan’s hometown of Chicago, Peter Weber and Kelley have finally confirmed their relationship.

On Saturday, May 3, Weber confirmed he and Flanagan are an item after previously stating they weren’t dating, with a sweet photo of the pair kissing on Instagram along with the caption, “You caught me. Let the adventure begin.”

Meanwhile Kelley shared her own photo of a lanyard that Kygo signed to give to Pete and also wrote the message, “Pilot Pete, don’t be dumb, pick Kelley!” In response to Kelley’s post, Weber tagged the musician and added, “”I finally got it right.”

Fans of The Bachelor will of course remember the disastrous After the Final Rose show in which Weber’s mom made it clear she did not support his relationship with Madison Prewett after he previously proposed and became engaged to Hannah Ann only to break up with her to pursue Prewett.

Now it seems, Pilot Pete’s parents are on-board with his new relationship with Kelley. “What more can I say Chop Chop but a match made in heaven. Love you guys 😍,” Weber’s father, Peter Sr. wrote, while his mom, Barbara, commented, “❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹.” Both also shared tribute posts to their son’s new relationship on their Instagrams.

Meanwhile, last month even Chris Harrison commented on why Peter and Kelley ended up together afterward but not on the show. “I’ll take a little blame for this — the show wasn’t perfect for that relationship. I don’t think Kelley was right for the show,” Harrison conceded. “She’s brilliant, she’s beautiful, a lawyer, all those wonderful attributes, and Peter was a great Bachelor. But for them specifically, it just didn’t work.

“She fought the concept. It was tough for her to not be in her own head, not to try and look into the production. It just didn’t work for her, and that hurt their chemistry, that’s why he let her go. I think them living in the real world and just dating is a better environment and a better situation,” he added. “So, I’m hopeful.”
