Erinn Hayes Wants To Join “This Is Us” After Getting Killed Off “Kevin Can Wait”

After being cut from the cast of CBS drama Kevin Can Wait, Erinn Hayes has shared she is ready to join the Pearson’s extended family on This Is Us.

“Last I checked, @TheMandyMoore had a sister on @NBCThisisUs,” a fan wrote to the actress on Twitter. “If she hasn’t been cast yet, I nominate @hayeslady for the role.” Hayes didn’t hesitate to retweet the recommendation to her followers and added, “I wouldn’t fight that. We actually played sisters back in the day for a never seen pilot.”

It was previously reported that Hayes character would be killed off Kevin Can Wait and Leah Remini would replace her as a series regular. “The character will have passed away,” CBS programming boss Thom Sherman explained. “We will be moving forward in time catching up at a later date.”

Remini opened up to Stephen Colbert about her new position on the show and discussed her reunion with King of Queens costar Kevin James. “At the end of the last season I played his partner, we were cops together,” Remini explained on The Late Show .”So I just come back as that character.” Colbert added that fans were excited to see Remini and James back on screen together and it’s clear the cast mates feel the same as well after sharing a photo together on social media in honor of their reunion.

Season 2 of Kevin Can Wait premieres on CBS this coming fall on Monday, September 25 at 9 p.m. ET.
