The Young and the Restless (Y&R) star Rory Gibson has revealed that he is newly engaged!
The young actor and his girlfriend, Alicia Ruelas, shared the exciting news via their Instagrams on Sunday, October 16th. In separate posts, Gibson and Ruelas shared photos of the proposal, which happened at Secret Cove Beach in Hawaii.
“AHHHH! I’m going to be future Mrs. Gibson,” Ruelas wrote. “I’m in shock!!!” Gibson wasn’t much for words, instead letting the emojis for a heart and diamond ring do the talking.

Although Gibson and Ruelas are both 26, they’ve already logged some serious relationship time. In May 2021, Ruelas posted a photo of the couple to celebrate the pair’s ten year anniversary.
“10 years with the sweetest guy,” she wrote in the caption.
Considering the relationship doldrums that Gibson has had to channel as Noah Newman since he was recast in the role last year, it’s a relief to note that his personal relationship has been steady for so long!
The engagement news sparked a bunch of love from Gibson’s Y&R castmates. Tracey Bregman (Lauren), Melissa Ordway (Abby), Michelle Stafford (Phyllis), Cait Fairbanks (Tessa), Courtney Hope (Sally), Brytni Sarpy (Elena) and Sean Dominic (Nate) all sent their congratulations to the pair.
