Taylor Swift presented an award at the Teen Choice Awards over the weekend, and took the opportunity to poke a little fun at her ex-boyfriends — and herself.
Giving away the statue for “Choice Actor in a Drama Movie,” the 24 year-old singer told the audience, “Oh, hey guys. You know we’ve had some amazing memories here together at the Teen Choice Awards. And so, I was excited when they asked me to come and present this award, because no one knows more about dramatic males than I do.”
Taylor has been romantically linked to male celebrities Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Joe Jonas, among others.
In the past, Taylor has been a little sensitive about her serial-dating image — and to be fair, the media seems to criticize her more than other celebs (especially men). But when Amy Poehler and Tina Fey poked fun at her at the Golden Globes back in 2013, Taylor told Vanity Fair a quote she learned from Katie Couric: “There is a special place in hell for women who don’t support other women.”
Tina was surprised that Taylor was mad about the “benign joke,” and Amy responded that she “felt bad if [Taylor] was upset.”
But maybe Taylor has grown a thicker skin, or developed a new strategy in dealing with her all-too public love life?
As for the Teen Choice Awards, Ansel Elgort of The Fault in Our Stars was named the Choice Actor in a Drama. Hmm…would Ansel and Taylor make a good couple?
