‘One Tree Hill’ Stars Reunite For Golden Globes Elevator Video
On Sunday night, One Tree Hill stars Sophia Bush, Danneel Ackles and Bryan Greenberg gave the show’s fans some serious throwback feelings when they reunited for Warner Brothers and InStyle Magazine’s Golden Globes Afterparty.
The publication shared an Instagram video featuring the trio in an elevator dressed up to the tens for the afterparty. Greenberg sported a classic suit and tie while he bounced a basketball in the elevator – which may be a throwback to his role as Jake Jagielski in One Tree Hill.
As for Bush and Ackles, the pair each held cheerleading pom-poms and stood on either side of Greenberg. Ackles played as Rachel Gatina on the CW series for several seasons, while Bush starred in all nine seasons as Brooke Davis.
“Let’s go Ravens!” the caption for the Instagram video read. “The One Tree Hill cast reunites on the #InStyleWBGlobes elevator!”
The CW’s One Tree Hill aired from 2003 to 2012.
Since the finale of the series, they have remained close and have had a number of reunions over the past few years.
In 2018, Ackles, Hilarie Burton (who portrayed Peyton Sawyer), Robert Buckley (Clay Evans), Daneel Ackles, and Antwon Tanner (Antwon “Skills” Taylor) gathered to star in Lifetime’s The Christmas Contract.
There was also another reunion special titled ‘Tis the Season: A One Tree Hill Cast Reunion, which aired right after the film. Burton, Ackles, Tanner, Stephen Colletti (Chase Adams) and Tyler Hilton (Chris Keller) attended.
The cast has also reflected on the popularity of the show.
“Because of streaming services, the One Tree Hill fans continue on,” Hilton said at the time. “They stay the same age, 18 or 19 years old, and we just keep getting older and older! We’ll meet people in their mid-30s who say, ‘OMG, I grew up with your show’ and we’ll meet people in their late teens who are like, ‘All my friends and I love your show!’ It’s so wild.”
“I’ll post pictures of my kids and they’ll be like, ‘Skills has kids?’” Tanner chimed in. “I’m like, ‘They’re older than you!’”
“The reason the One Tree Hill cast has always been beloved is because everyone could tell we really loved our jobs,” Burton said. “We really loved each other. Not one of us thought we were too good for it. We really loved what we were creating with each other.
