Since the abrupt split and divorce of Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert in July of this year, it seemed the two were keeping things very amicable, even bantering back and forth on social media.

Following the news of Shelton’s new relationship with his fellow Voice coach Gwen Stefani, it seems Lambert is choosing to react through song lyrics. She hasn’t publicly responded to how she feels about her ex-husband’s new romance; however, she did take to her social media to write lyrics from the song “Better Than” by Lake Street Drive that seem to do the speaking for her. “‘I could spend ages reading the news. I could spend days, singing the blues. But I turn up the TV light. Give up without a fight. Better than pretending to know what’s wrong and what’s right.’ This song. This band. These lyrics. @lakestreetdrive thjanks @ape_lewis for turning me on to this,” Lambert shared.

All in all sources are stating that Lambert isn’t surprised about the Blake-Gwen romance at all: “She had her suspicions but didn’t really know it was a real thing until the announcement. But she doesn’t care. She’s divorced and he can date who he wants,” an insider close to Lambert told Us Weekly.
