It seems like the days of being accustomed to a brightly colored royal wardrobe are behind us! The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has a reputation for breaking convention, especially when it comes to her style. Rather than the typical rainbow color palette we’re used to seeing the royals wearing, Markle has proved that neutrals can be just as flattering and professional looking.
Most recently, she was spotted at her first solo event to celebrate the opening of the Oceania exhibit at the Royal Academy of Arts. She wore a black Givenchy dress that featured sheer balloon sleeves and velvet detailing along the chest. The look is fashion-forward and professional, but definitely not a style we’d see Kate Middleton or Queen Elizabeth wearing. We personally love that Markle is still staying true to her personal style despite her new Duchess title. What do you think of Meghan’s all-black dress?
