There was clearly never a dull moment during Meghan Markle’s pregnancy!
Not only the Duchess of Sussex secretly guest-editing for British Vogue, but she was also making secret visits to her royal patronage Smart Works, a charity that helps unemployed women regain the skills and confidence to get into the workforce.
Alongside the behind-the-scenes photos, the Duchess shared the exciting news that in partnership with Smart Works, she will be supporting a line of women’s workwear created with the help of her close friend and designer Misha Nonoo. “Launching this autumn, The Duchess will be supporting a collective to help equip the women of Smart Works with the key workwear essentials they need as they enter into the workplace. This initiative is supported by four generous brands who share the vision to empower the women of Smart Works to look and feel 100 as they bravely venture into what can often be a daunting environment for those who have been out of the job market.”
The photo series shows Markle playing stylist and helping unemployed women pick outfits for job interviews. She’s also shown sitting in with Smart Works employees to discuss the charity’s work. In many of the photos, she is wearing a black vintage coat that she was spotted wearing ahead of her baby shower in New York. In another photo, she’s photographed cradling her baby bump in a tweed Gucci dress while chatting with a client.
