Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and Archie have accepted an invitation to spend time with Queen Elizabeth this summer!
Meghan and Harry will officially step down from their senior royal roles on March 31st and have already resumed their new life in Canada together. The couple has decided, however, to return to the U.K. to spend time with Queen Elizabeth this summer.
According to PEOPLE, Meghan, Harry, and Archie will be joining the royal family’s annual trip to Scotland which marks their first visit to Balmoral Castle. This was an invitation Meghan and Harry turned down last year in the midst of raising young Archie and becoming new parents.
Despite their decision to step down, it’s clear that Queen Elizabeth still supports the young family as they begin their new life. According to royal sources, Meghan, Harry and Archie remain “much-loved members of the family.”
For now, Meghan and Harry will remain in Canada to start their quiet, private life with their son as a new family.
