Buckingham Palace has released a statement that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan to keep baby Archie’s godparents private.

The Palace revealed the news in an official statement about Archie’s christening, which will be taking place this upcoming Saturday, July 6th. The statement read, “The godparents, in keeping with their wishes, will remain private.”

While Royal fans may not know who exactly Archie’s godparents are, that’s not to say they won’t have any access to what happens at the christening. The statement read, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex look forward to sharing some images taken on the day by photographer Chris Allerton.” The statement also read, “Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor will be christened in a small private ceremony by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle on Saturday 6th July.”

The christening will be attended by around 25 close family members and friends, which is standard with tradition since most Royal christenings are relatively small in nature.

We can’t wait to see more photos of the new parents and their adorable two-month-old son, baby Archie!
