Just another unusual encounter with the public.
Pop star Justin Timberlake has a lot of fans, but it seems one man had an interesting tactic to get the singer’s attention. In a video posted by TMZ, the “Can’t Stop the Feeling” singer is seen walking through a crowd at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Nevada on Saturday, July 23 when a man can be seen reaching out and slapping Timberlake on the side of the face.
Instead of carrying on, the 35-year-old then turns around and confronts the man, stating, “Bro, why would you do that?” As he walked away, security approached the man who had apparently been the one to strike Timberlake, and the man was eventually arrested.
Timberlake was unharmed by the mishap and didn’t want to press charges, but as deputies attempted to escort the man off of the property, he became difficult. The man’s defense was that he just wanted to “touch” the superstar and was visibly intoxicated and refused to leave, which was when he was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Timberlake didn’t let the incident get him down, however, as he continued to joke around with fans as he did the “Carlton dance” with Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro and NBA superstar Stephen Curry. The singer has always loved golf, and enjoys his time participating in the celebrity events. “I love being a songwriter, I love being a musician, I love being a producer, I love being an actor, I love working on a clothing line. I love all of those things because they’re all creative,” he said. “For me, golf is one of those things where you go out and forget about everything else.”
