Former reality star Jon Gosselin is taking steps to play a bigger role in his children’s lives and he has now filed for full legal and physical custody of his 14-year-old son Collin.
According to court documents filed on October 24, 2018 in Pennsylvania the 41-year-old dad of eight believes that it would be in Collin’s best interest to live with his father when he is released from his inpatient facility for children with special needs.
While Jon has filed for full custody of Collin, one of the other sextuplets, Hannah has been living with her father full-time although Kate still has full custody of all of the children: Collin, Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Joel, and Aaden and twins Cara and Mady.
As fans will remember back in 2016, Kate revealed that Collin was no longer living at home and instead had been sent to a live-in facility for children with special needs for his “behavioral issues.” At first Jon Gosselin said he knew nothing about what was happening with his son, but has been sharing photos as he and Hannah have gone to visit Collin and most recently had him home for a weekend visit. Jon shared two photos of the visit including one where he took Collin for a haircut at a local barber shop.
